The book has been lavishly illustrated with hundreds of colour images to help showcase the depth and variety inherent with Jaén’s output and comes with a free concertina-folded sticker sheet featuring many of the artist’s iconic designs.

Sobre Javier Jaén

El diseñador Javier Jaén (Barcelona, 1983) ha trabajado para clientes como The New York Times, The New Yorker, The Washington Post, El País, National Geographic o Greenpeace. Estudió Diseño Gráfico y Bellas Artes en Barcelona, Nueva York y Budapest. Su actividad profesional se ha centrado en ilustración editorial, portadas de libros, proyectos audiovisuales, publicidad y comunicación cultural.

Traduce historias y conceptos en imágenes. Lo hace con la ayuda de materiales cotidianos, objetos, iconos o palabras en un lenguaje simbólico y lúdico, lleno de sentidos e interpretaciones. Su variada producción lo ha llevado a ser miembro de Alliance Graphique Internationale (2015), y a ser premiado por la Society of Illustrators, American Illustration, Print Magazine (New Visual Artist 2013), Premio Junceda (2013), Premio Gràffica (2010), Laus (Grand Laus 2016, Oro 2017, Plata 2018) o el D&AD Pencil (2017).

Ha participado en exposiciones en Nueva York, Londres México, El Salvador, Tallin, Seúl, Rotterdam, Paris o Roma. Ha sido profesor en el Istituto Europeo di Design, BAU, IDEP, y con frecuencia imparte talleres y conferencias en diversas escuelas internacionales de arte y diseño.
